The ‘‘Vizion I‘‘ EP will be released on Jan 11th 2019 as a prelude to the brand new symbiosis between vocalist Cali P and producer TEKA on his freshly founded LowLow label. The two reggae protagonists use current styles from the international hip hop scene and unite them with their typical, heavyweight roots sound. The result is four warm, authentic, hybrid tracks, which blast both radio and sound system suitable productions through your bass bins, with an optimistic yet serious flavour.

The lyrics are as up-to-date as the music itself: ‘‘Baddest‘‘ pays respect to the dancehall visionaries of the past in a rough combination of offbeat and trap vibe. The single including a video drops on Nov 30th 2018. TEKA’s well-known Migos remix provided the inspiration for Cali P: On ‘‘Life Lessons‘‘, upon which he singjays a manifesto for pacificm. The pop-infused ‘‘Hold Me‘‘ is a feminist nod to lovers rock of old, while on ‘‘When Things Go Up‘‘ a rousing bassline floats underneath bittersweet lyrics, which reflect everyday struggles. ‘‘Vizion I‘‘ proves that there is a bright future for reggae.
